While roughly a third of all adults reported symptoms of anxiety and depression, nearly half of adults aged 18-24 continue to have a higher prevalence of both. Another study of adolescents showed a higher prevalence in adolescent females over their male counterparts, at 57% and 29% respectively. A 2022 study found that 90% of the public believes that the US is in the midst of a mental health crisis. Several changes to the delivery of mental health services such as more widely available telehealth services has shown improvement in mental health outcomes and has led to better access to mental health care.
